Land Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Welcome: Fairbanks, Alaska
From the airport, your transfer (included) brings you to your hotel to meet your Adventure Specialist. The Golden Heart City is then yours to explore. Overnight at Sophies Station Suites.

Day 2 Touring: Fairbanks, Alaska
Spend the day exploring local history, heritage and culture, beginning with a city highlights tour and a visit to the Museum of the North. Enjoy free time downtown for lunch and shopping, then embark on a cruise on the Chena River aboard an old-fashioned sternwheeler. From 6:00 p.m., your time in Fairbanks is your own. Enjoy a hearty frontier meal at a local restaurant or at a dinner theater that tells the story of the gold rush through musical comedy. Overnight at Sophies Station Suites.

Day 3 Touring: Fairbanks, Alaska / Denali, Alaska
Take in the spectacular scenery from the glass-domed railcars of the Wilderness Express on the train trip to Denali. From 3:30 p.m., the wonders of Denali are yours to explore. Your Adventure Specialist can recommend optional excursions, from guided hikes to adventures like flight sight seeing trips or rafting down the Nenana River. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Day 4 Touring: Denali, Alaska
The Tundra Wilderness Tour takes you deep into Denali National Park along its lone road for the best chances at seeing wildlife. After your tour, spend time at the museum-like visitor center or take advantage of the biking and hiking trails that begin near the park entrance. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Day 5 Touring: Denali, Alaska / Talkeetna, Alaska
There is time to walk the trails around the lodge before boarding the Wilderness Express heading to Talkeetna. From 5:00 p.m., enjoy a free evening in this funky small town. Locals and visitors mix and mingle in the restaurants, brew pubs, cafes and shops along the historic main street. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Day 6 Touring: Talkeetna, Alaska / Anchorage, Alaska
The day is free for your style of adventure in this hub for outdoor fun. Your Adventure Specialist can recommend optional activities like flight sight seeing, river rafting and more. Then relax and take in the views from the Wilderness Express on the scenic rail journey into Anchorage. From 8:00 p.m., experience big-city nightlife under the evening sun, with restaurants, craft breweries and urban trails all part of the eclectic scene. Overnight at the Anchorage Marriott.

Day 7 Disembark: Anchorage, Alaska
Discover the states diverse indigenous traditions on a guided tour of the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Then enjoy free time downtown for lunch, shopping or just strolling around before the drive along the Turnagain Arm and along the Chugach Mountains to the coast. Your Adventure Specialist will wish you bon voyage as you say goodbye at the ship terminal.

Cruising Itinerary

Day 7 Departs 8:00 PM - Seward, Alaska
Welcome aboard Radiance of the Seas. Seward is perched on a peninsula where the ice age has had lasting power. Where ocean and mountains meet, the frosty waters and rugged coast of Resurrection Bay sustain birds, sea mammals and other marine life.

Day 8 Arrives 3:00 PM Departs 5:00 PM - Hubbard Glacier (Cruising)
Hubbard Glacier is 76 miles long, 7 miles wide and 350 feet above the water line where it meets the bay. Watch as massive chunks of ice crash into the bay, a process known as calving that the Tlingit people call White Thunder.

Day 9 Arrives 9:00 AM Departs 9:00 PM (Docked)Port of Call: Juneau, Alaska
Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Its historic downtown harkens back to its gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure.

Day 10 Arrives 7:00 AM Departs 8:30 PM (Docked) Port of Call: Skagway, Alaska
The great Klondike Rush lives on in Skagways charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and its historic railway. From the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot.

Day 11 Arrives 6:30 AM Departs 3:00 PM (Docked) Port of Call: Icy Strait Point, Alaska
The Huna Tlingit welcome visitors to Chichagof Island, where you can experience their rich culture and unspoiled wilderness. Inside the 1912 cannery complex visit the free museum.

Day 12 Arrives 9:00 AM Departs 6:00 PM (Docked) Port of Call: Ketchikan, Alaska
Ketchikan is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, whose landscapes and dramatic seascapes can only be reached by plane or boat. The Salmon Capital is a hub for sports fishing and home to a collection of totem poles.

Day 13 (Cruising) Inside Passage
The Inside Passage embodies the best of Alaskas pristine nature and rugged beauty. The wildlife, rainforest shrouded in mist, magnificent fjords and the majesty of the Hubbard Glacier are among the many photo ops.

Day 14 Arrives 7:00 AM Port of Arrival: Vancouver, British Columbia
Set between the sea and snow-capped mountains, Vancouver is a stylish multicultural metropolis. Explore its different neighborhoods, including historic Gastown, visit city parks and beaches, and dine at acclaimed restaurants.
